Is it Friday?

Just some Tuesday Tidbits for you reading pleasure. Although I have nothing of great importance to blog about, and I just went on a minor rant about only blogging about things with great passion… I instantly break my newly made rule to bring you nothing of great importance. I do however, love sharing all the absolute randomness of my life. Maybe I will add an amendment to the rule and still allow myself to inform you on all of the hoopla in the Life of Carley. Ok? Sure.

Friday night was our <last> football game. I would like to go on the record and say that GHSA really had no idea what they were doing with this “Power Ranking” business! Oh, you have no idea what I am talking about? Well, we were 6-4. We were 3rd in our Region. 2 teams that we beat, they get to go to the playoffs, and we do not. Yeah. I will save the heartfelt rant for someone else. (Sorry to all the coaches at the wedding that had to hear me vent about this.)

I am sad that football is over. It is seriously a way of life around here. I have no idea what I am going to do with my Friday nights now. I am also sad to be losing my Sunday afternoons. Tears may be filling my eyes as I type. It will not be the same camping out in the bedroom with the little T.V. as I watch Lifetime movies…. The big T.V. is just better…
I wanted to share a few of the pictures from the game. I love my husband, and the passion he shows on the field.

My husband now has wrestling practice daily, and seriously a tournament every single weekend from now until the middle of February. He came home smelling like a foot. He quickly informed me that he was wrestling with some of the guys to give them practice. Yeah… the life we live. There are no words. My husband now wears wrestling shoes…. Yikes.
More of the weekend recaps:
Saturday my husband left me for a “Men Weekend” with his BFF. I have decided not to make too big of a fuss about all of these weekends that these two men go on. I have also decided to save all the trips that they go on, and plan one BIG MONSTER “Ladies Only Weekend.” I am thinking Mexico. Shannon?? Any ideas? You agree? How many trips have they been on? Oh yes, enough to pull the card for a MacDaddy trip.

Coach went to the GA game, I went to Jefferson. My cousin’s son had his 1st birthday party. I love his sweet smile! I also love the fact that I got to spend time with my sweet family. Then Saturday night I went to a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful! There was not a detail left out. The reception was actually at the same place our reception was. It was nice to revisit! (As a guest!) It also made me soooo ready to help my sweet friends plan for their big days. Beth? BJ?

Sunday was my favorite day of the weekend. I was able to go home to Southside. Listening to Jeff makes so much sense. He seems to always preach on topics that need at the time. It is a clear representation that God sees all of our struggles and wants to lead us through them. I cannot express my love for that church. I think that it is safe to say, it is one of the biggest things that I miss about the 30549.

Other random weekend facts: I got my very first Christmas tree. In the past I have always had a tree that was handed down to us. Those are the best, but it was very nice to pick out one that I love and actually decided on. I cannot wait to put it up this week. (I want to wait on cooler weather. I also want every inch of the house to be cleaned first.) Strange? Yes, I am.
Monday was just a Monday. When it was over, I felt like the next day should be Thursday. However, this is our last week before Thanksgiving. We have an entire week off! Although Coach has wrestling practice, I plan to enjoy NOT setting an alarm. Oh wait, I never set an alarm. I rely on my husband to wake me up for thirty minutes straight. Ahhhhahhhaaaa. But, seriously, no school for a week will be oh so very nice! I plan to do some more extreme cleaning around my house. I just asked Coach if he would clean the bathrooms this week. I would have given ANYTHING to have taken a picture of his face. I asked, “Will you clean the bathrooms?” He heard, “Will you stab yourself in the foot will a dull knife?”
Ohhhh the joys.
I also may or may not be already putting some little random Christmas decorations up here and there…
I hope everyone has a great week! 3 more days!

WILW and a Some For Real!

I know I usually start blogs off with an, “I am sorry for the lack of posts.” Well, today I am not. I spent three hours working on a blog post the other day. It had deep, heartfelt meaning, and then WAM.  I did not save it properly. This is of course no one’s fault, but my own. I suppose on day I will sit and have to retype the thing. Not today.
I hope everyone loves their Wednesday after election. I am sorry I did not get to fill your news feed up with my “Georgia Voter stickers.” I am one of the freaks that didn’t switch the registration over in time. I had to complete an absentee ballot for JC. Sorry JC. You can’t get rid of me that easily. I decided to take a quick minute to say a few things that I am loving this Wednesday, and then catch you up on my life.
I am loving…
…The package from Dress Up that I received today. I am ready for an AMMMMAZING weekend. I will be leaving my 100 year old khakis and sweater sets at home, breaking out the little dress, and hip sweaters.
…The fact that there are only 7 days of school left until a week break for Thanksgiving. I love you children, but you are wearing me out.
…That I only get migraines like the one I had yesterday once every 5 years. I mean I had to leave work thirty minutes early, come home, and not get up for 5 hours. It was kicking my tail.
…That I have amazing friends that bring me soup just because she knew I wanted to try it.
…The simple fact that I have amazing friends in our new home.
…That I am buying Christmas gifts early!
… That I have NO idea what to get Coach for Christmas. Is it OK that I want to get him a nice trip somewhere we have never been just so I can enjoy it too??
…That  I have been playing Christmas music at school all week.

I know there are MANY other things that I am loving right now, but for the sake of this blog. I’ll stop. I actually come to you with great purpose. Lately I have been seriously thinking about my blog and the art of the entire deal. I have decided that although I am FAR from a constantly serious person, I want my blog to have some informative and serious works in it. My next New Year’s Resolution will to blog with meaning, heart, and passion. Sometimes the silly “just because” blogs are great, and they help my just say…. Whatever. However, soon I want to change the tone. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow. Soon.
I will go ahead and put it on the table that I have a slight hint of baby fever. Trust me, there will not be a baby anytime soon. Well, unless God trusts us more that we trust us. But, Brandon and I have been seriously (well, I’m seriously discussing the topics for once, he is the not really acting serious one) discussing the topics about how we want to raise our child. Baby and parenting blogs seem to be my current faves. No worries, I am still reading all the others… Today I read this article, and I LOVE it. Teaching Your Children About Marriage. I also love all the feedback from it. It really has great points, and I love reading the different views. She talks about showing your children a healthy marriage. This is why I suppose we are not ready to have children. Yes, absolutely we have a healthy marriage! But, have we accomplished all that we want to accomplish before we have children? Have we set our marriage up 100% and made the foundation absolutely concrete? For right now, we just love being in love and being young. Dub is one lucky little dog to be receiving so much attention right now! No <human> Cain children anytime soon. We actually joke around and say we have a “BC Bucket List.” Before Children Bucket List. Maybe one day I will add that to the blog.

I hope everyone has a jam up Wednesday. I suppose I should go cook something… or eat cookies. No, not eat cookies. Seriously, who bought theses?!

Monday's May or May Not Special

This past weekend was spent winning football games, cross country meets, dinner with friends, 3 hour naps (both days), and lots of just loving the cooler weather that has arrived.

Friday night we won our Homecoming game. Go Trojans! Saturday morning we had MS XC meets for boys and girls. Go Trojans! Saturday afternoon I took a 3 hour nap while Coach watched film. He tried to make me feel guilty about the absence of HIS nap due to our slow computer. I must admit, I had ZERO guilt. Saturday evening was filled with an AHHHHmazing dinner at our dear sweet HC’s house. All while watching my beloved Dawgs forget that they were playing a team that was 1-6. However, we pulled out a win. So, I am all smiles here. (Actually, I am all smiles because we watched the game in a public setting, and Coach’s blood pressure was forced to stay at a non-heart attack level.) Sunday was filled with cooler temps in the morning, divine coffee, and a puffer vest with boots at church. I also had another 3 hour nap. Coach ALSO tried to make me feel guilty yet again for the nap since he had a football meeting. Again, I must admit, my lack of guilt has me worried. Sunday evening was consumed with cheese pizza and a broken heart from the Jets. I did not wear my Sanchez jersey to school today.

That was our weekend. Pretty speedy I know. However, this post was not necessarily meant to be a weekend recap. Saturday night, while enjoying time with our friends, my husband, being the loving, caring man that he is, informed me that I have a problem with saying, “May or may not.” After hours upon hours of recollection, I have come to the conclusion that my loving, caring, kind, smart, intelligent husband must call me out on the FEW things that I do to the extreme because… well… I am just so outstanding, he feels that he needs to find SOMETHING to give me a hard time about. About six months ago he said that I use too many emoticons when typing and texting. I have seen someone about my problem and I am working on that little struggle to become a better wife. Since obviously this over usage of emoticons keeps me from fulfilling my wifely duties. Obviously. So, now it has been brought to my attention that I may or may not use may or may not in conversation too much. Three times in 30 minutes I believe is what he calculated when bringing it to my attention. This my friends brings today’s topic of blogging….

Things I May or May Not Be Doing…

I may or may not have a problem with Blogger changing my words. Chaperone has an e at the end, but when I enter it into blogger, it took it off. When I added it back, it said it was misspelled. Ahhhhhhhhh… See, it has it highlighted now!?!? E or no e? Help a girl out spell check!

I may or may not spend too much time doing everything else, and often simply proof read too quickly. Please dear friends do not hold it against me. I swear I am an educated individual. I simply do not spend the quality time I suppose I should when ‘blogging’.

I may or may not be married to the Grammar King.

I may or may not be lost now that I get home at 3:30. No practice has me all confused in the time aspect of the world.

I may or may not throw my summer flowers away. They still look great… although I love mums, do I really want to spend the money?
I may or may not already have three Christmas gifts ready to be purchased from Etsy.

I may or may not be getting everyone’s gifts form Etsy this year.

I may or may not have wanted to use may or may not in the little blurb above when recapping my weekend.

I may or may not have SLIGHT baby fever. Monogram bottles are to blame, along with Pinterest in general.

I may or may not beg to fill this fever with another dog.

I may or may not leave my phone off starting at 8am so I cannot be bothered with emails and other annoying green flashes my phone makes. I can honestly say from 8-3, it’s just me and pre-k.

I may or may not be putting off buying a new phone because I now work for my money and it is just SOOOO hard to part with. However, my back account may or may not represent that feeling well. Is it October 31st yet?

I may or may be planning on making a pumpkin pie from scratch this weekend.

I may or may not be picking pumpkin pie as my choice because I know I am the only one in the house that likes pumpkin pies…. May or may not be a bit selfish.

I may or may not have a serious love for Gatorade. But lack of love for the Gators...?? It’s a situation.

I may or may not be taking this to the extreme.

(Not matter what… I love you Mr. Cain. I will try to seek help for my problems…I also am only posting this because it will be a laugh for Coach. He needs to laugh more during this time of year...)

Happy Monday y'all!

The Real Life Coach's Wife Life

In 2011 blogging was a bit of a lengthy status update for social media. Coach and I moved away from "home" and it was just a fun ...
