With this being the first day of
Valentine’s Week I thought I would spend my week on my blog gushing about my
absolute favorite person in the world. COACH! I really might not spend the
entire week posting about him, but I would like to blog about LOVE. After all,
that’s what February is on the calendar for, right?
The first of my love posts will be dedicated
to my engagement pictures. I LOVE them for sure! I love our photographer
(present tense because we really know him, and consider him to be a great
family friend.) Our engagement pictures took place at our absolute favorite
place on Earth, Athens. (Athens, Georgia that is. Why do people get all excited
about Athens, Greece?)
Coach proposed in Athens, down at
the Arch. We had our “first look” in Athens as well. Of course we wanted engagement
pictures there as well! Over kill? Probably. Regrets? No way. My house is consistently
decorated in red and black, so my engagement pictures fit right in.
It was a beautiful, sunny day in
the spring when we took these. They are my absolute favorite!

After the photo shoot we enjoyed our
favorite pizza and drinks with a good friend and excellent photographer.
There are also several pictures of
some PDA. Well… this took Scott lots of work and yelling at me to “KISS.” I am
NOT a fan of PDA. We were in the streets of down town Athens! It was crawling
with folks… looking at us. YUCK! Anyway… fun fact: I am NOT a PDA person at
all!
To me Coach looks exactly the same. Other than
me now shaving his head instead of ONLY letting Jerry do it... he doesn’t look
any different. Me, I feel like I was a little kid back then. I mean, these were
taken 2 years ago. Have I really changed that much? I now rock a lil pixie cut…
Why didn’t someone tell me to cut that junk off years ago? It probably took me
an hour to wash, dry, straighten, and constantly brush that mess.

I also think it is funny how we
were wearing black. I am thinking we need to set up a 2 year anniversary photo
shoot and wear another color. Green maybe?
